It isn...Anthem isn't meant to have a good plot. It isn't even meant to have well-fleshed-out characters. It is solely a philosophical commentary, or rather, a commentary on philosophy (the philosophy of collectivism, and by contrast, Rand's own Objectivism).<br /><br />I personally enjoyed it for its world-building (but I enjoy nearly every dystopia world), and for the writing itself. I was not reading the words and picturing the story in my mind.
